Quality Association for Hospital Management (QAHM) focuses on the administration,
management, and development of world - class hospitals and healthcare systems Founded
in 1996.
Quality Association for Hospital Management (QAHM) proven business results by:
- Improving the organization's ability to deliver high quality healthcare. For every
physician and healthcare organization the most important goal is to assure the best
possible result of a patient's care. (QAHM) recognizes that business systems such
as information services, administrative structure, and staffing patterns are key
elements of the care process. Our experiences enable us to develop these systems
within a local context so that they have a favorable impact on the care patients
receive. In addition, qualified clients of (QAHM) will be able to have access to
the clinical resources of (QAHM) Clinical Alliances with Medical Centers and the
Universities to enhance their clinical capabilities locally and expand their physician’s
access to world-class education.
- Improving the organization's ability to capture patient volume and improve revenue.
Almost every market where (QAHM) works is highly competitive Attracting new patients
directly or through contracts with domestic and international insurance and companies
requires a strong image of quality care delivery. But it also requires much more
identification of the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats facing the
hospital; development of strategic plans that overcome the barriers to success and
taking advantage of the opportunities identified; and successful implementation
of strategic plans once they have been approved by the institution's Board of Directors.
(QAHM's) leadership includes experienced, successful, strategic thinkers with the
ability to analyze a market situation and recommend business initiatives that will
take advantage of the situation.
- Improving the organization's ability to understand and manage its costs and cash
flow. Hospitals and other healthcare institutions are extremely complex organizations.
Determining the cost of providing services and collecting the revenue associated
with those services is rarely easy. Moreover, even the most astute business leaders
often find that their efforts to ontrol costs have unpredictable and unsatisfactory
results because their information systems do not provide a reliable basis for decision
making. (QAHM) brings to its clients the ability to understand and manage costs,
control expenditures, and develop financial plans that will support successful implementation
of the business strategy.
Each (QAHM) affiliated hospital and doctor we work with maintains its own individuality,
yet has within its grasp the resources of an international healthcare organization.
Our business philosophy and management experience enables us to bring “hands on”
global resources locally to work with hospitals and doctors. Whether you are building
a new hospital, looking to develop a health plan, increase the hospital census,
expand the reach of the market of your hospital or want to bring your hospital to
the world market, (QAHM) is your partner and the total solution. (QAHM) is the total
solution for hospital owners looking to improve their hospital’s financial performance,
quality medical care, patient experience and services, or for investors seeking
management and experience to develop a new hospital.
Management according to Laws and Regulations.
Quality Association for Hospital Management (QAHM) will manage the facilities in
accordance with set of laws, Rules and Regulations, Standards on Accreditation of
Healthcare Organizations, and Regulations governing hospitals and any other laws
or standards pertaining to hospitals. (QAHM) will focus on Compliance as a central
precept in its philosophy of management.
Best Practices, Protocols and Process Improvement
QAHM will improve the organization’s ability to deliver high quality healthcare.
For every physician and healthcare organization the most important goal is to assure
the best possible result of a patient’s care. The Company recognizes that business
systems such as information services, administrative structure, and staffing patterns
are key elements of the care process. Our experiences enable us to develop these
systems within a local context so that they have a favorable impact on the care
patients receive.
Hospital Staff Training
Employees must be kept up-to-date not only on their specific skills as clinicians
or administrative people, but also on the latest rules, regulations, compliance
issues, JCI standards, content management system (CMS) rules and regulations, etc.
To this end (QAHM) will allocate substantial resources in the budget for staff training
and continuing education. The foundation and basis for quality will begin with the
employees delivering the services.
Facility Maintenance
QAHM has a very successful and cost effective program for hospital maintenance The
project team participates from the beginning when the management contract is signed
and continues the general maintenance during the course of the contract.
Feasibility, Business and Strategic Planning
It is incumbent upon each hospital CEO and Board member to understand how their
hospital is positioned strategically as well as operationally and financially.
(QAHM) places great emphasis on the continual evaluation of services offered and
services that might be eliminated or modified. Hospitals are no longer afforded
the luxury of offering services and programs that must be heavily subsidized by
other services in the facility. A more business-oriented approach must be taken.
Business Development (Sales, Marketing and Branding)
(QAHM) believes that marketing is a key function included in the Strategic Planning
Process and must be focused and directed at specific target populations and communities
and not a “shotgun” approach. We have developed so many marketing strategies that
can defuse the hospital medical services through the target segments.
Accreditation and Certification
The management philosophy of the (QAHM) is to meet and exceed the Standards of the
JCI. Beginning on day one of the management agreement, steps will be taken to begin
the process of achieving and maintaining JCI accreditation.
Credentialing
The Credentialing process is a key process in hospital operations and extends to
hospital staff as well as medical staff. There are clear guidelines for performing
the initial evaluation and then on an on-going basis. There is a great deal of risk
management involved in the credentialing process and must be incorporated into the
evaluation and periodic re-credentialing of the staff.
Financial Management – Budgeting, Billing, Collections, Cost Savings
One of The (QAHM’s) strengths is its ability to manage the finances of hospitals
including the budget process, revenue cycle management (registration through billing
and collections), information system integration, the medical record component as
it relates to finances and planning activities for capital expenditures.
Technology
The best recommendation for technology will meet our standards for patient security
and data confidentiality.
Quality Improvement
The Quality Improvement program is a direct tie in to the operating philosophy of
(QAHM). The foundation for the QI program is patient satisfaction, medical delivery
quality, risk management and regulatory compliance. All of these are intertwined
and hould all result in an organization that learns much in the same way as individuals
learn.
Human Resources
We have employee operating procedures that are under constant review. All hospital
employees are trained in accordance with the policies and are coordinated with the
quality improvement program.
As the organization changes our employees receive updates and become a part of the
learning organization. Change management must be reflective of the hospital’s culture,
its medical staff’ and community.
Our competence model’s main purpose is to align the human and technical components
of the job. (QAHM) follows the standards of JCI in defining jobs, and creating measures
for performance and improvement. Each employee will receive an annual formal evaluation
and continual feedback on daily performance.
Staffing (Manpower planning)
Clinical and Administrative Staffing (QAHM) takes the approach to staffing from
its annual budget. As mentioned previously, a general staffing plan is included
in the annual budget.
Emergency Room Staffing
Emergency Room staffing requires unique ways of management when a specialty base
of physicians does not exist. We have a policy to hire well—trained emergency doctors
and to open the hospital for all local doctors that have the credentials for working
at the facility.
Specialty Staffing
(QAHM) has affiliations with some of the top medical and research facilities in
the world. We will plan to bring not only patients, but high caliber physicians
and medical personnel.
